Fabregas grateful to Wenger

Former Arsenal midfielder and current Chelsea player Cesc Fabregas stated that he will always be grateful to Arsene Wenger.


He said that the French manager was a second father to him and that he was instrumental in his career.

He stated that he became the player he was thanks to Arsene Wenger’s approach and that he will always remember him as a manager. The Arsenal manager put his trust in the Spaniard when the latter was only a teenager and handed him his first start in the Arsenal team at the age of 16.

Cesc Fabregas said that he had known many managers during his career, and it was probably Arsene Wenger that was the most important one. He stated that he was the one that gave him the first chance as a footballer. He said that from this time on it is up to the player to prove himself but it is important for a manager to trust you as a young player.

Fabregas said that Arsene Wenger was always behind him and that he supported him when things were difficult on the pitch. He stated that the French manager was always there giving him suggestions on how to improve himself not only as a player but also as a person. He said that he was like a second father to him and that there are not many managers that will do this for their players, especially in today’s football world.

He said that he owes a lot to Arsene Wenger and that he was the one who influence his career and believes that he is one of the best managers in the world.
Fabregas is busy preparing for the new season, and he will have a point to prove after his poor performance last season.
