Arsenal, under Unai Emery, are making several changes already. After the club cut ties with long time manager Arsene Wenger, Emery and the management have made several changes to the players and playing patterns.

Jack Wilshere has left the midfield but the club is hoping to keep Aaron Ramsey. Lucas Torreira has joined, hoping to link up well with his former boss at Sevilla. Another former Sevilla star Steven N’Zonzi, who recently won the World Cup with France, is the next target for the Gunners, as per reports.

Reports in France claim the Gunners are keen on landing the player this summer but the major issue is the transfer tag of £35 million. Arsenal are hoping the can negotiate more favourable terms for the former Blackburn and Stoke City player.

Emery played N’Zonzi regularly whilst at Sevilla, with the team going on to lift the Europa League. The Frenchman has remained consistent in his offerings even when Emery moved to France to coach Paris St Germain for two years. The Gunners boss is hoping to make the best use of the player in central midfield before he passes his peak as he is already 29 years old. The player has good technical skills but he could be slow for pacy attackers in the English top flight.

With Italian side Roma also vying for the signature of N’Zonzi, Sevilla would not be keen on reducing the player’s price tag. The director of football at Roma Monchi signed the player whilst he was with Sevilla as sporting director. He reportedly has a good relationship with the player and would be seeking to leverage on that to convince N’Zonzi to move to Italy rather than England.
